Sofronie Foundation is a grant-making charity which funds initiatives helping disadvantaged children around the world build themselves a better future.
Website details
The powerful image of a child’s face, taken from the previous Sofronie website, was chosen for the homepage not only to bring a sense of continuity to the new website but also to provide a bold visual statement. We used a selection of similar images for the masthead photographs throughout the site, creating a striking theme that reflects the work of the Foundation.
The website contains a range of media, with video incorporated into the homepage along with a set of news teasers. Regular changes to the content of both the video and the news teasers can be made easily when desired. The design employs tasteful colour-coding to differentiate various areas of the Foundations’ activities, and the bold, unfussy quality of the navigation buttons ensures ease of use while also complementing the website’s visual aesthetic.
A tagged news system is included, which gives visitors quick access to any particular areas of interest. The website includes photo galleries and extensive information on all Sofronie’s supported projects, as well as an interactive map of the world detailing the global nature of the Foundation’s concerns.
