Didi Baldwin. Artists: Video work, Film work, Printwork and Drawings. London UK

"Looking but not looking as if glimpsing out of the corner of my eye, with the attention of seeing for the first time, I desire for a strong sense of the overall sensibilities of something. Being intrigued by a banal event or a common occurrence.

I am drawn to find ways of translating my environment, which I have called a landscape, through observing from a step back from a 'normal' sense of time and place. I look across, on to or from, the 'landscape' that has caught my attention.

Through reinterpreting the image and working it through a chosen process, such as film, photography, drawing or etching, I aim to instil an ambiguity in the work. I desire to create multiple readings, to provoke a sense of the infinite and the minuscule. Further more, I wish to suggest a universal feeling of isolation of the individual, abutted against an all encompassing sense of communion of what it is to be human, which by its very nature is intangible".
