Together work alongside people with mental health issues on their journey towards greater well-being. Together have been helping people overcome mental illness for more than 130 years.
Website details
It was important that each primary section of the website visually reflected its specific written content. In order to accomplish this we decided to theme each section using (some very nice) bespoke photography and colour coding.
A professional photographer was hired and tasked to produce some positive images reflecting the organisations target audience; these photos in conjunction with carefully selected colours made up individual masthead sections. To enhance this further we also colour-coded the primary navigation menu and the quotes that appeared on top of each photograph.
Services by location' tool
In addition to the above we also developed a 'Services by Location' tool. This is essentially a set of searchable pages enabling visitors to quickly find details and location of all the Together projects. To make this system easy to use we created an interactive UK map (Google Map mash-up) enabling visitors to scroll, zoom and click on the geographical location of existing Together projects.
An admin interface was also developed to enable staff to easily add more projects to the database.
The site also features a virtual art gallery reflecting the 'real' gallery space that Together currently hosts, news and events calendar, high visibility views, printable pages and interactive Google maps.
This is a very large website with more features than you can poke a stick at!
